카카오톡 단톡방에서 하는 영어독서모임입니다
한강 작가의 영문으로 번역된 책을 모두 읽는것을 25년까지의 목표로 정했습니다.
매달 뉴베리수상작 위주로 책을 정해서 읽고(뉴베리는 우리나라 초등학생부터 읽기 시작하니 적당하다 생각됩니다)
매달 말일 한페이지 골라서 사진찍어올려주시고 왜 그페이지를 골랐는지 적어주시면 됩니다.
책은 다 읽지 못하셔도 괜찮으니 읽은 부분에서 골라서 꼭 지켜주세요
온라인으로만 진행하는 비대면 활동이며, 친목활동 전혀 없습니다.

그런데 한강 책을 영어로 읽는 이유가 있으신가요?
정말 궁금해서 묻습니다.
저는 노벨상 받은 작가의 책을 원본 한글로 읽을 수 있다는 것이 자랑이고 감격이거든요.
저는 톨스토이의 전쟁과 평화를 영어로 읽으면서 내가 러시아어를 안다면 얼마나 그 내용을 더 잘 이해할 . 수있었을까 하면서 안타까웠거든요.

영어책읽기 모임이라서요. 한강작가책은 원서로 이미 읽은 분들도 계시고 원서를 읽으셔도 상관없고요.
번역에 오역이 많다니 그것도 찾아보고 싶네요.
