topic 과 thesis 의 차이점이 뭔가요?

짧은 영어 에세이를 읽고 topic(phrase), thesis를 적는 문제인데요
topic과 thesis 의 차이점이 뭔가요?
topic(phrase)는 논제를 문장이 아니라 구로 적고 thesis는 그 글의 중심내용을 적으면 되는걸까요?
영어 잘하시는 분 도움 부탁드립니다

topic은 대략 말하면...이야기의 중심이 되는 그런내용..예를 들어 굉장히 일반적인 주제입니다.
뭐 오늘의 토픽..이라고 말하면...주가하락이런 게 되겠습니다.

thesis는 학술적인 용어로 생각하시면 되겠습니다. 논문에서 핵심되는 내용이라고나 할까요?
즉 논문에서 중심되는 단어나 내용으로 논문은 이 thesis를 항상 염두에 두고 쓰야 한다는 그런 의미에서.....

정-반-합 에서 these-antithese-synthese에서 처럼 명제라고도 할수 있겠습니다.....

일반적 essay writing/ essay analysis 에서요

topic sentence/phrase라는 말은 그 에세이에서 제기되는 중심논점이 포함되어 있는 문장/문구을 말합니다. 환경보호에 대한 에세이에서는 "문명의 발달에 따라 환경이 훼손되어 가고 있다." 이런 정도의 문제 제기 하죠?

thesis statement 는 말하고자 하는 주장이 명확이 포함되어 있는 명제문장입니다. "어떤 조건보다 앞서는 환경보호에 대한 인식과 노력은 인류의 문명이 행복을 전제로 발전을 계속하는 것 뿐이 아니라 인류생존의 결정적 바탕이다." 라는 결론명제 있잖아요. 이런겁니다.

In addition, cats can be left home alone for a few hours without fear. Unlike some pets, most cats will not destroy the furnishings when left alone. They are content to go about their usual activities until their owners return.

Cats are low maintenance, civilized companions. People who have small living quarters or less time for pet care should appreciate these characteristics of cats. 도입 - 본문 - 결론 부분의 순서에 따라 일컫는 명칭이죠.

위의 글은 전형적 연역식 에세이네요. 끝의 conlusion은 반복으로 보구요. 미국의 똘똘한 초 6 - 중 2 정도 (문법, 철자 수정 후 완본) 쯤 썼겠네요.
