이 노래 기억하는 분들이 있으신지요?
미셸 파이퍼 주연의 무슨 영화의 주제가였지요.
유명한 2pac도 쿨리오보다는 욕을 많이 섞어서 이 곡을 내놨었지요.
제가 이 노래를 좋아한다는 말을 들은 사람들은 (그때 당시의 친구들)좀 놀라는 눈빛이였어요.
워낙에 슬랭과 욕이 가득한, 그리고 가사 자체가 갱스터의 일상에 관한 노래였기 때문이어서였을까요...?

가사는 슬픕니다..하지만  반복되는 멜로디가 참 좋았던 노래입니다.
지금은 세월이 흘러서 사람들의 기억속에서 사라진 듯....

고등학교때 교내 방송반을 하면서 음악에 미쳐있었지요,,
팝, 흑인음악, 샹송 , 메탈,, 장르를 가리지않고 무식하게 들었더랬습니다.
님 글을 보면서 잠시나마 열정적이였던 그 때를 추억하게 되었어요,,,
지금은 한 남자의 아내로 한 아이의 엄마로 살고있는데,,참 새삼스럽네요,,

음악의 고전이라고 할수 있겠지요.
갱이 직접 부른다하여 그 감격? 이 더 했고요,
사회문제에 관심을 가질 기회도 되는것 같고.. 역시 아무것도 없는 상태에서 무언가를 창조해내는 소외받은 사람들의 그 창조력이 정말 놀랍고요..
아름다운 음악입니다,. 늦게나마 아들놈 덕분에 랩을 듣게 되었는데 정말 힘이 가득한 음악이고 이거 듣다보면 다른 음악듣고 싶지가 않습니다...ㅎㅎㅎ
