커피믹스 정말 즐겨마시다가 카페인이 칼슘 흡수를 방해한다고해서 딱 끊었죠
그러다 향이라도 맡고싶어 디카페인 커피로 바꿨어요. 그리고 못해도 하루 석잔,,
외부 나가면 까페에 디카페인이 있으면 꼭 그걸로 마셨어요
외국 경우 10프로 카페인이지만 한국은 2~30프로 카페인이 들어있다하지만
아무래도 기존 100퍼보다는 낫겠지 싶어서요
그러다 오늘 영문기사 내용 (아래 복붙) 을 보게 되었는데
디카페인을 시키는 과정에 .. 발암물질인 염화메틸렌 이라는 성분이 들어간다고 하는 걸 봤어요
이게 암만 유발하는 게 아니라 간에도 치명적이라고.
이런!!! 근 1년간 정말 열심히 디카페인 봉지커피 엄청 먹었는데..
함유성분 좀 알아볼까 싶어 열심히 들여다봐도 딱히 설명이 있지 않아요 .. 그래서 회사에 전화해 문의하니 1시간이 넘도록 '알아보겠다' 하고는 지금까지 연락이 없네요.

Does Your Decaf Include Paint Remover? It Might
A number of health and environmental groups have asked the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to stop allowing several carcinogenic chemicals to be used in food.
Among those chemicals is methylene chloride, a solvent that's used to remove caffeine from coffee — and also used as a paint remover.
This isn't the only way to remove caffeine from coffee, but it's quite commonly used. And the FDA allows small amounts of the chemical to remain in decaffeinated coffee, if it's less than 10 parts per million.
"While methylene chloride may be indirectly involved in food processing, such as in the decaffeination of coffee beans, residue limits have been set to limit exposure," the FDA told CNN in April. "Any food product that contains residues of methylene chloride above the established limits are not permitted for sale."
But according to the Clean Label Project, which aims to bring transparency to US product labeling, companies don't have to let consumers know which method has been used to decaffeinate their coffee.
And in 2023, the group released a report in which it found detectable amounts of methylene chloride in seven of 17 types of decaffeinated coffee. These included coffee from Dunkin' — one of America's most popular donut shops — and Wegmans, an East Coast supermarket chain.
The highest detected level was 9 parts per million, while most were between 1 part per million and 4 parts per million — all within FDA limits.
But Maria Doa of the Environmental Defense Fund told CNN that even if only a little methylene chloride remains, it's unnecessary since safer processes are available.
She called the FDA's position on the chemical "decades old and clearly outdated."
At the end of April the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced a ban on most uses of methylene chloride, calling it a "dangerous chemical" known to cause several types of cancer, as well as "liver harm and even death."
However, the EPA's ban covers only industrial uses — use of the chemical in food is controlled by the FDA, not the EPA.
